Ray Winstone Is Danish Warrior Beowulf

Get ready for some bear-warrior action on the big screen with the release of Beowulf. After destroying the overpowering demon Grendel, Beowulf incurs the undying wrath of the beast’s ruthlessly seductive mother, who will use any means possible to ensure revenge. The ensuing epic battle resonates throughout the ages, immortalizing the name of Beowulf. Director Robert Zemeckis tells the tale.

Stocky 50-year-old Ray Winstone (”The Departed”, “Sexy Beast”) plays the title role. Through the wonders of special effects you’ll see this former boxer looking 40 pounds slimmer and several inches taller. As you can see from the photos, he packs an eight-pack reminiscent of the Spartans from the movie 300.

You know… After watching the movie on DVD I realized there is one thing I really hate about CGI films… There isn’t any chance of seeing an accidental flash of something! I freeze-framed through most of the nude fight scene in Beowulf and everything… I mean EVERYTHING… was blurred-out. The Beowulf character might as well have been a Ken doll. LOL
