FeedForeBears: Dan Haggerty Is Grizzly Adams

No carefully coiffed, shaven or plucked men for us — we liked ‘em big, hirsute and blue collar. Any movie, TV show or sport might contain a hunky hairy man who could become the object of our desire and fantasies.
ForeBears is a new ongoing series at Bearotic documenting these rough ‘n tumble hunks who helped mold the Bear figure we so admire today. What better man to start the ForeBears series with than Dan Haggerty, a.k.a Grizzly Adams.
The 1974 movie The Life And Times Of Grizzly Adams spawned a 1977 TV series which ran for 39 hot ‘n furry episodes.
We’ve all been to a bear competition where the contestants are asked, “What is your ultimate bear fantasy?” Most answers seem to revolve around a cabin in the woods and a big burly grizzly bear of a man doing unspeakable things to them. Well, most of those fantasies were inspired by Grizzly Adams.
In the 70s, most men who were into bears were eagerly watching the Grizzly Adams episodes. He was wholesome strong yet gentle and in touch with nature, a true Daddy. He was also bearded, handsome and every inch a man. The popular look for a bearish man has changed over the years, but in the 70s Dan Haggerty was the bear icon!

It says on the Grizzly Adams site that, “Grizzly Adams became an instant success, beating out the highly popular Bionic Woman in just six weeks!” Yesssss! Most of us would take a Grizzly Adams over a Bionic Woman any day.

I thought this man was hott when I was young.
I always watched this show. I got so hott one time I, will you know. MM MM good.
