Doctor Woof Explores Time, Space and Fur
Written by NetBear on May 13, 2008 – 1:00 pm -A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away… those wacky Manbears did a fur-rocious parody of the British sci-fi series Doctor Who.

Titled Doctor Woof And The Teddies Of Doom, the Manbears take Doctor Who into strange, new and bearotic situations.
In Doctor Woof the story begins with an evil Frankenfurter-esque The Master telling his henchmen the Cybermen to seek out the Teddies of Doom.

We’re then introduced to Doctor Woof and his sidekick Willie, as they float about in the Lardis, a multi-dimensional transportation device that happens to look like a portable toilet. You’ll howl as the Lardis hurtles by, strings and all.

When you meet the good doctor you’ll immediately discover just why this traveling doctor is so woofy. Played by burly Andy Garcia, we could imagine getting saved by this ursine time lord.

But the Manbears don’t stop at just lampooning Doctor Who. You’ll get sci-fi whiplash as the scene cuts to the bridge of the Enterprise for a bearish Star Trek. We especially liked seeing the furry Spock. They certainly didn’t blow their make-up budget on those ears. But the scene with Scotty declaring, “Ayee cahn-neet taik anymore, Captain!” is a must see. We don’t want to give away too much of the humor. You’ve got to experience it for yourself!

Back on the Lardis we are introduced to Doctor Woof’s trusted robotic dog. Nooo… It’s not K-9 this time. You’ll laugh when you discover why Doctor Woof falls on his ass. What’s that naughty Willy been up to this time? The double-entendres start coming fast and furious at this point. And without skipping a beat the show continues intertwining more sci-fi blockbusters into the mix. Wait until you see how Doctor Woof gets acid reflux!
Get away from him you bitch!
As in Doctor Who, inevitably the Daleks show-up. But this time they have been programmed with a new version of their signature “Exterminate” phrase. Listen closely and you’ll get the joke. In a massive twist of time lines and temporal continuity Miss Baby Jane Hudson makes a cameo appearance. Aye, caramba! Well, who else do you think could take-on a Borg Queen/Mommy Dearest hybrid??
Ultimately The Master makes what seems to be a closing speech that leaves the plot line hanging in true Doctor Who episodic fashion.

I have bartered, bitched and banged my way across the cosmos to find the Teddies of Doom.
Will the Doctor and (his) Willy prevail? Can you survive almost ten minutes of non-stop camp, humor and decidedly British wit? Well, jump in that porta-pottie and let’s go! Here’s the video we’ve been telling you about:
You will never look at your favorite sci-fi films quite the same way again!
