FeedSF MovieBears Make Cinema A Social Event
Written by NetBear on May 13, 2008 – 5:45 am -When these two guys say they’re going to take some friends to the movies, they don’t mess around. Films ranging from Indiana Jones to Kung Fu Panda are on their movie hit list.
Dave and Drew run the San Francisco MovieBears. Now in its 5th year, the group brings together bay area bears to socialize and enjoy a movie together.
Dave welcomes movie bears while Drew looks them up on the database.
Wouldn’t it be nice to go see a movie with a couple hundred of your best friends? SF MovieBears sure makes it easy. At their web site you see every movie coming up on their calendar. Members are often polled to see which movies they’d prefer to view.
There’s always somebody new showing-up.
Most guys make a night of the event, getting dinner at the Metreon’s lavish food court before the movie. And to make it an even sweeter deal, most of the time the tickets are discounted AND Dave or Drew take care of getting the tickets. All we lazy bears have to do is show up!
