On a lark I thought I’d rent this movie from NetFlix. How could I turn-down a headline like, “A well-lubricated, filthy comedy.” Boy howdy, it has been a long time since I had so many spontaneous belly laughs watching a movie by myself. And guess what? This film has got nekkid bears in it too! PLUS we’ve got information on the new sequel coming out soon!
In the title track “Another Gay Sunshine Day” Nancy Sinatra (yes, THAT Nancy Sinatra) sings, “Chickens will dance with bears…” At first I thought, WTF? I finally understood that reference from the scene where the twinks have a baseball game against a team called the Bad News Bears. Guess what? It’s a team full of leather and jean clad bear men.
The catcher’s vest says it all.
But the catcher’s bum REALLY says it all!

The twinks team wears chest cut jerseys and are called the Frisky Chickens. So it’s the Bears vs. the Chickens. And there’s that cute catcher again. We’ll see more of him later.
Of course you know it’s gonna be a campy game when they have a mirror ball strung near the scoreboard.
The not so bearish pitcher introduces himself as Beau to the jock twink Jarod. The flirting continues with questions like, “Do you pitch or catch?” Virgin Jarod fancies himself a top. Em, heh.
Pitcher in the streets… Catcher in the sheets.
But Jarod gets a home run and what do you think everyone does? Time to have a celebration. But first our sexy catcher takes off his mask, exposing his cubbish good looks. Yum! Then, looking like a pride parade, both teams celebrate the event.
In another scene the virgin character named Nico decides to meet million-dollar bear Richard Hatch at a book signing. Of course Hatch is sitting buck naked sitting at a desk. Nico gets an eyeful looking under the desk. And, no, that ain’t no CGI shadow. Its Hatch’s family jewels. When Hatch asks who the book should be made out for Nico’s reply is, “Mister Ben Dover.” That sends Hatch over the edge and home with Nico. It’s always that easy with bears, right? Well, everything in this movie is cliché. 
Nico has seduced Mr. Hatch to come home with him. Here Richard hangs-out on Nico’s bed while Nico does a little dance for him. Unfortunately Nico’s blind pseudo girlfriend shows-up looking for her car keys. She grabs and finds something else on the bed. See what can happen when you run around naked all the time?

It’s a… plantain!
Nico’s character can be a little annoying due to his flamboyant tendencies. But we can’t deny that Richard Hatch looks pretty damn good naked and with his tribal tattoos and furry body.
In the DVD we even get a full frontal view of Hatch as he sits-up right in front of the camera. Wanna see? We had to bleep it for our sponsors. But you get the idea. Nice um… shadow, Rich!

If you’ve always wished for a gay American Pie, this is the movie for you. Another Gay Movie is going to make you crack a smile. Cuz if it can’t, ‘nuthin will. It is absolutely hilarious!

UPDATE! The sequel is in the can! Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild! takes the original story to the next level as the boys head out on spring break in Fort Lauderdale and get caught up in a truly wild contest to see who can get laid the most before the vacation ends.
The biggest obstacle of all turns out be true love, as the boys begin to struggle with how casual sex fits into their lives. Not that their new interest in romance keeps the frisky-chicken foursome from having a lot of raunchy fun!
