It was another of those colorful and light pieces of entertainment so often served up to us on 60s TV. What caught my eye though was the Bluto-esque Skipper with his tubby, burly gruffness acting as a foil for the other skinny “pantywaist” type men in the show, and a definite Daddy figure for Gilligan.
The thought of being a castaway with Captain Skipper appealed greatly to my young gay fantasies… as long as there were no intruders that is…
At six feet two inches tall and 280 pounds, Alan Hale Jr. who played the role of Skipper was made for this part. In real life Alan would wear the Skipper hat and was even known to donate old hats to charity auctions. He also owned a restaurant in Hollywood known as The Lobster Barrel where Alan would greet his guests dressed as Skipper.
Watching the show I often marveled at Skipper’s tight white pants. How did he keep them so clean? But most importantly, what was that tantalizing glimpse of huge package-ness that he would treat us to every so often??

That bad cub Gilligan, here he is all bondaged-up on a table and STILL copping a glance at the package as Skipper pretends not to notice.

Gilligan’s Island ran for 3 years and 98 episodes. The show was popular in it’s day and has gone on to achieve a minor cult status. Most fans have their fave Island character. For me it will always be Alan Hale, Jr. as Jonas Grumby, the “Skipper” with the Daddy ‘tude and nautical equipment!

Very nice, I had plenty of those skipper fantasies too, some involving a sailors ability to tie knots. the question those pics beg is this, how much is potatoes (clearly a lot woof) and how much is sausage? inquiring minds want to know

how often did skipper and gilligan show love thru the cap being struck on gilligen’s head? one of the best was when the boys were under the raft and gilligan came oout to tie skipper’s shoe laces.
