Bob Saget Roast Commercial — Offensive Or Amusing?

Written by NetBear on August 15, 2008 – 5:18 am -

If you’ve tripped around the Comedy Central and related TV stations lately you might have seen this commercial for the Bob Saget Roast coming up Sunday.

The two woofy guys at the beginning will catch your eye. They’re in a bar picking a fight with each other. But when one of them blurts out, “You heard me, Saget!” I could hardly believe my ears. Of course it is meant to sound like the old expletive phrase that’s only heard on playgrounds and backwoods these days.

The humor is not completely lost on me. I get it. As I watched more shouts of “Saget!” in the video it got pretty goofy and disarming. Well, I guess you can’t expect much more from a comedian who sings My Dog Licked My Balls. LOL

But can someone please explain why the chubby husband in the scene with the couple in bed says, “Saget…” ? Ohhh…. wait. :)
