Arty lipstick lesbians, a couple of sweater queens, some coffee-house dykes, a sugar daddy, a drag diva, Mr. Leather and a fag hag all join their evangelical Republican host, her closeted daughter and a half redneck/half maggot mutant at the Sahara Salvation Resort for Jaymes Thompson’s The Gay Bed & Breakfast of Terror, a campy but creepy queer horror film that opens today in select cities.
Welcome to the Sahara Salvation Bed and Breakfast Inn. A small slice of paradise here in the desert.
As the guests check in they slowly come to realize that this B&B is not all it appears to be. Hidden agendas are realized and many dark secrets are revealed. What evil lurks up in the darkness of the attic? Be careful not to disturb “Manfred,” perhaps the most horrifying creature ever created for film.
Helen and Luella are just another typical God-fearing mother and daughter who happen to bake Mincemeat muffins and run a charming if not a bit faded Bed and Breakfast Inn. Or are they? Here’s the scary trailer for the film.
The New York Times review didn’t like all the squabbling, short-tempered gay and lesbian couples introduced in the film.
There’s one thing the heroes of The Gay Bed & Breakfast of Terror share with their straight counterparts in similar tossed-off horror cheapies: They’re so catty, obnoxious and generally unpleasant, you can’t wait for them to start getting hacked to bits.
Hello?? Apparently this reviewer hasn’t been to many gay B&B’s or any gay-friendly hotels. There’s always some drama to be had. (Even if yours truly is creating it!)

This film is so BAD! There is not a single likable character in it. You will want to bitch slap them across the room in the first five minutes. Don’t Bother!
