FeedKevin Smith Is Back With Zack And Miri Movie
Written by NetBear on October 26, 2008 – 5:38 am -If we know anything about director and confirmed bear Kevin Smith, aka Silent Bob, his new comedy film entitled “Zack And Miri Make A Porno” looks like it will be another hilarious underground hit.
Of course our bear radar zoomed right in on handsome Seth Rogen who’s too cute for words as Zack Brown, a kinda slow guy who gets the bright idea to make a porno movie to help make ends meet for him and his roommate, Miri.
After the wild success of last year’s comedic hits, Knocked Up
Elizabeth Banks plays opposite Rogen as roommate Miri Linky. She was also in The 40-Year-Old Virgin and all three Spiderman movies
The two characters are old friends who live near Pittsburgh. During an extremely cold winter, Zack, who works at a coffee shop, and Miri, who works at a clothing store, find themselves unable to pay the rent. With credit cards maxed out, they are forced to think of a way to make money fast.
With a title that contains the dreaded “P”-word and some naughty Kevin Smith style action, it has been tough for Smith to market the film in prudish America. First, the Motion Picture Association of America gave it the dreaded NC-17 rating, a decision the filmmakers appealed and won. Then movie posters depicting the film’s stars in rather compromising, yet fully clothed, positions were rejected as being too racy, leading to a poster featuring stick figures and the tag line “Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks made a movie so outrageous that we can only show you these drawings.”
Even the stick figures proved to be too offensive for some. Several cities rejected a bus shelter ad that had the word “porno” in it. Fifteen newspapers and several TV stations and cable channels have refused to carry ads for the film after complaints from their viewers.

As any Kevin Smith film fan will be excited to hear, Jason Mewes is in the film as Lester. He is best known as social misfit/drug dealer Jay, of “Jay and Silent Bob” in Smith’s Clerks series, which hit theaters in 1994 and instantly become cult classics. Jason can talk a blue-streak really well; he works that talent again in Zack And Miri.
See? All the classic Kevin Smith factors are in place for Zack And Miri. The more the prudes DON’T LIKE IT the more we think it’s gonna be A LOT OF FUN.

I love Seth Rogen!
He’s been slimming down lately because of his role in the upcoming Green Hornet movie.
