Joaquin Phoenix Goes Grizzly

A while back we told you that Joaquin Phoenix said goodbye to Hollywood. At that time he began growing out his beard. Well, things are really getting grizzly now!

Yikes! He’s giving the camera the evil eye. That or he sees something he likes.

I was kinda falling for this new grizzly look of Joaquin’s until I saw this hair clip thingy in his doo. WTF?? Are these what emerging rockers use these days? I must be so out of the loop.

See, when you abandon Hollywood you can do whatever you want with your self-image. Maybe Joaquin had a serious case of pent-up angst from years of being part of the Hollywood machine. Yeah, that’s it.
