FeedJamie Bamber Gets Bare For The Bears
Written by NetBear on February 24, 2009 – 6:40 pm -British actor Jamie Bamber, who plays Apollo in the Battlestar Galactica series and is soon to star in upcoming Law and Order UK series, has stripped down for PETA Europe’s newest Unbearable Cruelty campaign to demand justice for bears.
Jamie is standing up for the Canadian bears who are cruelly shot for their fur to make hats for the Queen’s Guard. PETA is calling on Quentin Davies MP, Minister for Defence Equipment & Support, to stop using bear pelts to make headpieces for the five guard’s regiments and to have the hats fashioned from luxurious faux fur instead.
The obvious alternative is to make caps out of faux fur. You know, use synthetic materials to avoid killing a beautiful animal. They’re not to keep warm. It’s not particularly freezing outside Buckingham Palace. You could wear something else. And you could certainly wear faux fur.
