In this new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters, actor Robert Downey Junior plays sleuth Sherlock Holmes while Jude Law is Doctor Watson.

Billy Mays Dies At Age Of 50
Written by NetBear on June 28, 2009 – 3:44 pm -Billy Mays, the man with the ultra-black beard and the ultimate pitch-man attitude, was found dead this morning in his Tampa, Florida home.
He was found unresponsive early this morning by his wife. Emergency workers on the scene pronounced him dead at 7:45 AM. Police report no signs of a break-in or foul play. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death on Monday afternoon.
Apparently Billy was on the U.S. Airways flight that made a troubled landing in Tampa yesterday. The front tires blew out, scattering debris across the runway. Billy was interviewed after the fact and told Tampa Bay’s Fox television affiliate, “All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head.”
Reportedly, Billy’s wife said that Billy said he wasn’t feeling well before he went to bed last night sometime after 10:00 PM.

Stonewall Riots Recreated On Its 40th Anniversary
Written by NetBear on June 26, 2009 – 6:17 pm -Wednesday in Times Square on the TKTS stairs some folks did a photo “recreation” of the Stonewall Riots, this weekend being the 40th Anniversary.
Hippies, drag queens and white boys were all present at the Stonewall Bar the night of the police raid, which ignited the riots. Remembering the continued need to fight for equal civil rights and marriage equality, performers re-staged this protest in Times Square in an effort to draw attention to this ongoing battle.
Participants included Gavin Creel and other cast members from HAIR, sexy chorus boys dressed as sailors, and dancers/voguers from the Federation of Ballroom Houses, who will be featured in this Saturday’s LOVE BALL – the official opening night party of NYC’s Gay Pride – at the Nokia Theater, Times Square.
