Muscle Bear Comics From Jeff Jacklin
Written by NetBear on January 5, 2011 – 12:59 pmFor a lot of guys, reading the comics gives us our first exposure to fantasy bear men. Illustrator Jeff Jacklin has used his drawing talents to illustrate some fantasty-worthy buff furry men in his comics Hearts & Iron, Ursus Major and Paul Bunyan.

In Hearts & Iron Carl is an aspiring mixed martial arts fighter, an amateur pilot, and a carpenter/painter. John is an aerospace engineer, taller than you, and he’s not just a huge bodybuilder, but super-humanly strong – and no wonder, with Hercules as an ancestor.

In Ursus Major, A Werebear’s Tale, a cub gets more than he bargained for when he meets a bearded and furry dream man.

Now this dude is TALL. Follow Big Paul’s adventures in the north woods with his fellow lumberjacks. Could sliding down a furry water slide like that be any more Bearotic?

So true. I collected comics growing up and had a special stack devoted to my favorite images of barely clothed men. Still have a few somewhere around here. I have to say though… that Paul Bunyan water slide is bit too strange for my taste.

That Paul Bunyan strip gave me a MAJOR hardon! I had lots of fantasies like that when I was a kid.

Would love to see where the Paul Bunyan comic ends up.
