Scissor Sisters Sued For Wardrobe Malfunction
Written by NetBear on October 5, 2010 – 3:29 pmCan it be? Has singer Jake Shears gone too far this time? Is seems that the singer popped out of his sheer undies at a recent gig, much to the dismay of musician David Grohl who was in attendance. So much was the shock of having Jake’s testicles do a peek-a-boo that Grohl is slapping down a lawsuit against the band.

With a $75 million lawsuit on their hands, does this mean that the Scissor Sisters won’t be able to go on the road? Could this cripple any hopes that the band has for future touring and promotion?!

Scissor Sisters Are Giving You A Blow By Blow Account
Written by BignFuzzy on June 28, 2010 – 6:40 amAs the Scissor Sisters Night Work CD release date approaches (Tuesday 6/29 in the US) the guys are releasing short videos with a description of each track.

We’re really into the Night Work album and on a side note; although we all love the bearishness of Babydaddy we’re also diggin’ Del’s Wolverine mutton chops in the above picture.
Scissor Sisters’ Night Work is werkin’ for us!
Written by BignFuzzy on June 21, 2010 – 11:00 amAre you loving the Scissor Sisters new album? We’re loving the Scissor Sisters new album! Jake Shears says that Night Work is more focused than their previous work and that “It’s a dance record, a party record from top to bottom”.

We could wax lyrical about the album’s influences, like the Vincent Price/Thrilleresqe sound of Invisible Light with its Ian McKellen monolog or the brilliance of the anthemic epic rousing chorus of Fire With Fire but we’ll simply say that after a four year wait this album is a sweet and solid chunk of pop confection with tracks that will be dominating the dancefloor for the rest of the summer and beyond.

Scissor Sisters To Play Secret New York Gigs
Written by NetBear on October 13, 2008 – 4:14 pmAccording to the Arjan writes music blog, there are signs that the Scissor Sisters might be playing two secret gigs tonight and tomorrow at New York’s Mercury Lounge to try out new material.

The timing seems about right since the Sisters haven’t been generating much new information on their web site since we told you about them doing a hi-def concert on LOGO channel back in April.
If you look up the Mercury Lounge event list tonight “Queef Latina” is playing and tomorrow it’s “Debbie’s Hairy.” If those aren’t Scissor Sister gag act names, I don’t know what is! The band has done under cover shows like this before when they played at the Mercury as “Bridget Jones’ Diarrhea” back in 2005.
Though the concerts are apparently sold out there is always hope for hard core Scissor Sisters‘ fans. Some tickets surfaced on Craigslist earlier. We’d stand in line for hours for a chance to see Babydaddy strumming his guitars and tweaking his synths. Woof!
