ArtTramp T-Shirt Design ArtTramp has some fun politically minded t-shirt designs. It’s always a good time to show your pride. Makes a great gift too.

The La Roux store is now open. Get merchandise to show off your love for that swoop-haired diva.

Bet you didn’t know that November 19th is World Toilet Day. Yep… A day to honor the porcelain god without needing someone to hold your hair.

Bo Dixon Interview Big muscle bear Bo Dixon is interviewed by Compete, the gay sports magazine.

Speaking of Bo Dixon, his calendar was picked as one of the 5 Hunky men Calendars For 2010 by the Handsome Hunky Men site. Bo represented us furry guys well since the rest of the calendar picks look kinda hairless.

Not the same old fairytale. The Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington DC is putting on a show called Snow White and 175 Faeries, the Musical.

BearCity is seeking Daddy-looking profile photos to be featured in an online chat scene. Please submit your name and photo to casting@bearcitythemovie.com.

Bear Tube: BearCity Extra Experience, Chuecatown, Naughty Kid, Chubby Repairman

Written by NetBear on September 13, 2009 – 5:19 am -

What do you think it would be like to be an extra during the filming of the new bear-themed movie, BearCity? Tony Adams blogged about the experience and posted this fun behind the scenes video.

Bear Cub isn’t the only bear-themed movie that has come out of Spain in the last few years. In Chuecatown, also known as Boystown, a cute bear couple gets caught up in a dark plot to convert a neighborhood into upscale gay housing.

If anybody ever asks you whether or not you want to have children some day, make sure you watch this video before answering.

At first we had no idea what this Polish commercial was all about. A deep-voiced big chubby repairman arrives to repair a scale. Is it all about weight loss? Keeping slim? Well, sorta…

BearCity Movie Cast First Look

Written by NetBear on August 7, 2009 – 6:24 pm -

A while back we told you about a new bear-themed movie that was casting for a number of roles. “Romance can be hairy” is the tag line for BearCity, and we’ve got a first look at the handsome acting talent we’re going to see in the film.

BearCity Cast First Look

Clockwise from top left that’s Brian Keane (NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), Gerald McCullouch (Bobby Dawson on CBS’ “CSI:Crime Scene Investigation”), Paul Mauriello, Joe Mannetti, Sebastian Le Cause (Chicago) and Stephen Guarino (Logo Television’s “Big Gay Sketch Show”). The ensemble also includes newcomer Joe Conti, Alex Di Dio, Gregory Gunter and James Martinez (CBS’ “Numb3rs”).

Set in New York’s “bear” scene and taking a cue from the popular HBO franchise “Sex and the City,” BearCity follows a tight-knit pack of friends experiencing comical mishaps, emotionally sweet yet lusty romantic encounters and a cast of colorful, diverse characters as they gear up for a big party weekend.

Principal photography for the new romantic comedy will begin August 10th, 2009 for fifteen days in Manhattan and the greater New York area. Co-written by Douglas Langway (Raising Heroes) and Lawrence Ferber, the film will also be directed by Langway.

While he humbly calls it a “bit part role,” Joe Mannetti is appearing in BearCity as “Hot Daddy Bear.” Well, if you’re going to get a professional acting credit added to your name, that sure sounds like a good one to have! And Joe, it’s a cameo appearance, not a bit part. ;)

Crew credits in the film include Derek Curl and Lewis Tice as Executive Producers, Heidi H. Hamelin as Producer, Michael Hauer as Director of Photography, Racey North as Production Designer, Kathryn Moser as Costume Director and Zoe E. Rotter as Casting Director.
