Tim Gunn Goes Super Hero In Marvel’s Models, Inc.

Written by NetBear on September 10, 2009 – 1:19 pm -

Today a new issue of Marvel comic Models, Inc comes out just in time for the beginning of Fashion Week in New York. And on the cover of this special issue is Tim Gunn backed up by Iron Man.

Tim Gunn and Iron Man on Models, Inc.

“Fashion Week is always a hectic time for models, and this year is no exception. Between escaped wolves, robbery attempts, and overly friendly police officers, Mary Jane Watson, Patsy Walker, Jill Jerold, Chili Storm and Millicent (Millie the Model) Collins are testing the limits of their endurance. But when a brilliant young set designer is found murdered with three bullet holes in his back, and Millie proves to be the prime suspect, the models are forced to play detective in order to save one of their own!”

I would guess that Tim Gunn goes super hero and use his superior fashion sense powers to help Iron Man solve the crime. Go Tim!

Wuvable Oaf Brings Pink Back In Style

Written by NetBear on September 8, 2009 – 4:54 pm -

The first time I saw the Wuvable Oaf character was on the front of a friend’s t-shirt. In an unlikely yet humorous combination, this big, burly man who has a penchant for pink and pussy cats gave me a good belly laugh.

Ed Luce’s Wuvable Oaf

The Oaf was created by San Francisco Artist Ed Luce. It’s a comic book “fairy” tale chronicling one big, scary lookin’ dude’s search for cute little mans in a city that looks suspiciously like San Francisco.

See more Wuvable Oaf…

Bear Tube: Maritess vs Superfriends, Take Care Of Me Carl, Oyagi Days, I’m Not Your Toy

Written by NetBear on September 5, 2009 – 9:36 am -

Did you ever stop and think why the Hall of Justice was always so clean in the Saturday morning kids superhero show Superfriends? Don’t think any of the Superfriends did anything. Maritess did all the work!

His name is Carl and he just wants to take care of you. He’s one of the fantastic gay flight attendants that know how to service their customers.

Madonna’s not the only one who can grab her crotch on stage. Papaya Suzuki and the Oyaji Dancers work it performing Youthful Days on Japanese TV.

Attention all La Roux bears! Who’s that rising from the still waters? It’s our favorite swoop-haired redhead in the music video for I’m Not Your Toy.

Out And About: Naked Norton, Hatch In The Clinker, Cub McCallister, Kilt Jockstrap, Kylie Talk

Written by NetBear on August 31, 2009 – 1:23 pm -

Ed Norton Naked Skinhead Shower Scene Lots of guys find Ed Norton to be cute and sexy. But can he still be attractive while playing a naked skinhead Nazi getting molested in the shower? Well, sure… Why not? He’s not really evil. He’s just playing it.

Richard Hatch is back in the clinker again. This time he got arrested for having “improper contact with the public.” What? Did he have a friend over? No, he gave a press interview when he wasn’t supposed to.

Cub McCallister has four novels out that are all gay/bear themed. He’s also got some fun gear in his store. Is there anything that a cub can’t do? ;)

Colin Corbett Kilt Jockstrap Is that plain old jockstrap you’ve been wearing got you down? Need a jock that matches your kilt? Colin Corbett has decorating jocks down to an art form. Just take a look at this tartan number.

Kylie Minogue talked to Black Book Magazine about her upcoming US Tour and “Taking North America.”

I’m not sure how to feel about this one. Disney said they will acquire Marvel Comics for $4 billion in cash and stock, bringing characters like Iron Man and Spider-Man into the Disney family. Under the deal, Disney will acquire ownership of 5,000 Marvel characters.

Brandon Clark Ethan Says has some hot photos of hunky Mr. SF Leather, Brandon Clark, taken by photographer Dylan Rosser.

Who had the hottest pussy at the Daytime Emmy Awards? You gotta see it to believe it.

My favorite fireman drama, Rescue Me, has an end date according to TV Guide. Thankfully it’s not until 2011.

Can a broom be possessed? This one in Alabama is sweeping in the researches and curious.

It took nine episodes, but HBO’s Hung finally went gay. But not in the way that we were hoping.

Wolverine Sequel To Be Even Steamier

Written by NetBear on August 24, 2009 – 5:32 pm -

Speaking of steamy, Oh LA LA quotes Hugh Jackman saying that the upcoming sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine will feature a much steamier version of Wolverine than before. We’re not sure if this means more homoerotic bathtub scenes or what.

Wolverine Sequel

Christopher McQuarrie will write the script for the upcoming sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. McQuarrie will be responsible for adapting the storyline from the 1982 Wolverine comic book mini-series by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller that was hinted at briefly in a post-credits sequence in Wolverine. McQuarrie is no stranger to the X-Men universe, having done an uncredited re-write on 2000’s X-Men.

The sequel will delve into the Wolverine’s inner torment as he battles his animal instinct and head-strong moral code while seeking to make his way as a samurai warrior in Japan. There will of course be a whole new lot of mutants for him to battle.

Out And About: Comic Book Bear, Awkward Wood, Jersey Swap, Mantracker, Beard Gents, Hannibal, Paul Parker

Written by NetBear on May 10, 2009 – 3:46 pm -

Green Lantern Bear What do you do when you have a passion for two different things? Daniel at Ultimate Dam (Spanish) obviously loves comics and bears. Like those old Reeses commercials, he’s got bears in his comic book drawings. Get the translated to English version here.

As every guy knows, sometimes we get things “popping up” at the most embarrassing of times. Awkward Boners memorializes the woody caught on camera.

Bearotic reader Jack says that he doesn’t follow sports. But he’ll make an exception and follow these guys. Who wouldn’t want to watch two studly jocks swapping jerseys!?

Mantracker Bearotic reader Tim told us about Mantracker, a Canadian TV show that has some good looking cowbears. Boy, howdy… Was he ever right! It is currently showing in the US on the Science Channel. Yee haw!

You aught to show off that beard! Bearded blokes from all walks of life stroke their beards in cyberspace at Ning network The Society of Bearded Gentleman. It’s for men with facial hair and those who admire it.

Hannibal the Annihilator It’s 218 B.C., and the armies of Carthage and Rome fight for control of the Mediterranean region. Hannibal the Annihilator is kicking ass. And from the looks of him, we can see why!

Do you remember a disco era track called Right On Target? It had a driving synth track with a sexy mustached singer doing the vocals. That was none other than Megatone Records recording artist Paul Parker. He’s back in the studio and cranking out some new material. Could there be a new album in the works?
