Bulgaria’s DJ Balthazar Brings Scruffy Magic To Eurovision 2008

Since 1956 the show has allowed contestants from all over Europe to show-off their musical mastery. This year’s contestant from Bulgaria, DJ Balthazar, caught our eye. He’s one cute, cute bear!

As a DJ, Balthazar’s style varies between groovy/minimal techno and electro / tribal / progressive house while always corresponding with the newest records on the scene. Usually his sets are quite energetic and technically perfect.

Just think of it… All the real 80’s music, as it was played at the Trocodero Transfer, with no wanky mash-ups or modern-day megamixes. Woo hoo! I even got an 80’s haircut in honor of the event.

When asked about Paul Rutherford, Frankie say, “He was Liverpool’s Nureyev, the George Harrison of it all.” Yeah, he sure was cute.

Hot Bears at SF PLAY With DJ Susan Morabito
Written by NetBear on February 23, 2008 – 12:00 pm -Wow! The PLAY T-Dance held at the DNA Lounge this past IBR weekend was fun, fun, FUN! The whole Bearotic crew was on the scene and having a ball.

Tyrone and Steve of Past Curfew Productions introduced a sports them to the proceedings making for some HOT sporty-bear action. Staff wearing coaches uniforms kept the crowd happy. DJ Susan Morabito kept the ball rolling with a mix of disco-fied house music that kept feet moving, arms waving, flags twirling and faces beaming. Well done, lads! We can’t wait for the next one.
