Bear Or Not? Village People’s Glenn Hughes

Written by BignFuzzy on March 4, 2008 – 6:00 am -

The first time I saw the Village People perform live on TV in 1977 I thought they were way cool. The buzz was that the group was gay. But of course I couldn’t take my eyes off the guy in leather.

Glenn Hughes In Village People

His name was Glenn Hughes. His chest hair looked like a doormat and that strong jaw accented by the thick c*cksucker mustache just drove me wild.

As time passed and the group released the campy YMCA and Macho Man songs, the group became a mainstream hit though they lost a lot of credibility with gay men. But I never lost my attraction for Glenn Hughes. We didn’t have the term “bears” back then. But in retrospect I think Glenn qualified. What do you think? Would you have had Glenn in your Den?

See more Glenn and read about my Village People experience…
