You might not understand the questions. But the answers are golden. La Roux diva Elly Jackson works her swoop and shows-off her outspoken personality on a French TV program. And she explains how she chose the name “La Roux.”
Amazing how a well placed bleep sound can totally change our interpretation of a scene. Even an uber-cute Disney film isn’t safe from the effect.

Yellow Submarine Movie Remake In The Works
Written by NetBear on August 21, 2009 – 8:02 pm -Blue Meanies, Snapping Turks and Glove are coming back! Robert Zemeckis is in negotiations to direct a remake of Yellow Submarine for Disney. The original “Submarine” was a 1968 animated feature based on music by The Beatles.
Disney had no comment on the deal, which is in the thick of trying to acquire the rights to the music to the film, which included the title track as well as classics such as Eleanor Rigby, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, When I’m Sixty-Four and With a Little Help From My Friends.
Like all Zemeckis productions, YSub would be done in performance capture and would also be a digital 3D endeavor. The original hit movie is about a soldier called Old Fred who meets up with the Beatles and travels in a yellow submersible to Pepperland. There they encounter all sorts of psychedelic beasties, including those music-hating creatures, the Blue Meanies.

Pixar’s Up Movie Gets 3D Respect At Cannes

If first reviews are any indication, this movie is going to be a hit. You’ve probably seen previews for the film while waiting for a film to start in a theater. But just in case you haven’t, Disney has released the official trailer to the web too.

P.U.M.A. Two-Person Segway Doom Buggy

The uber geeky Segway appeals to some. But to many, we just want some place to plant our behinds while we drive. The P.U.M.A. to the rescue! It’s like a giant, two-person Segway, designed for commuters, with a 35-mile range from its lithium-ion batteries. With a top speed of 35 MPH, it’s plenty fast enough for city cruising.

Daft Punk Will Score Tron Sequel For Disney
Written by NetBear on March 6, 2009 – 5:45 am -It has been confirmed that French electronica duo Daft Punk has been signed to write the original music score for Tron 2.0 (also known as TR2N), Walt Disney’s upcoming sequel to the groundbreaking 1982 animation cult hit which was scored by electronic music icon Wendy Carlos.
Daft Punk’s members Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter have been involved in various films before, but Tron 2.0 will be their first complete feature film score.
