Written by NetBear on March 2, 2010 – 12:34 pm -The 1990’s grunge music scene returns to San Francisco for one day only during Grunge Star, a beer-bust beverage benefit at the Lone Star Saloon.
2010 Mr. Lone Star, Cody Elkin, and 2010 Bear Of The Year, Jack Sugrue will host the event that features classic 90’s music, live performances from Samir and Dana Kenyon, food, raffles, silent auctions and a few surprises. And all proceeds will benefit The San Francisco Food Bank and PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support).
Saturday, March 20th, from 3PM-7PM @ The Lone Star Saloon, 1354 Harrison Street. $9 at the door.

Send A South African Leather Bear To IML

Men from around the world compete for the ultimate leather title. But there has never been a contestant from South Africa. That is, until Jaco Lourens became Mr. South Africa Leathermen 2009.
In 2010, this furry daddy is going to make history. Jaco will be the first ever South African to compete at IML. But traveling half-way around the world isn’t an easy or inexpensive prospect. And as any IML contestant can tell you, there are many expenses involved in preparing for such an event.
After meeting Jaco, we are convinced that he very capably represents not only the global leather community, but also the bear community. Bearotic is pleased to be a sponsor of Mr. Lourens in his trip to Chicago.

Texas Bear Jeff Takes It Off To Grow His Mo

Handsome Texas bear Jeff, who’s living in Australia these days, decided to shave off his beard and grow back his “Mo” to help support the cause.
Mo Bros start Movember (November 1st) clean shaven and then have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their mustache. During Movember, each Mo Bro effectively becomes a walking billboard for men’s health and, via their Mo, raises essential funds and awareness for Movember’s men’s health partners.

Lazy Bear Weekend Takes A Break For 2010

Citing their wanting to respect the 2010 Gay Games in Cologne, the Lazy Bear Board dismissed all the crazy rumors circulating on the net. Taking a break also gives them a much needed year off to redesign, restructure and re-assess the processes of producing a huge fund raising event like this.

True Colors Cabaret Comes To New York
