Mind Lamp Senses Your Inner Queer Thoughts
Written by NetBear on May 13, 2009 – 12:49 pm -Can technology sense your inner most feelings? The Mind Lamp uses Mind-Matter Interaction to sense what people in the room are thinking. So for a GLBT person, does that mean that this device is reading our queer thoughts?

The Mind Lamp is much more than a simple color-changing light― its colors are responding in real time to processes that are shown to be influenced by the human mind. It might just be the modern techno interpretation of the Mood Ring.
So for us queer folk, maybe it’s reflecting hanky codes?

Bear Tube: Nerdy Kraftwerk, Black Eyed Dada, Good Cop Naked Cop, Drop-Stop
Written by NetBear on April 20, 2009 – 2:27 pm -
What if the influential electronic music group Kraftwerk was just a bunch of 1990s computer nerds? Tim and Eric create their own old-school techno trio playing Minivan Highway.
In the new Boom Boom Pow trip hop music video from the Black Eyed Peas you’ll see dancers wearing costumes that resemble Ultraman’s foe, the Dada. Did they think we weren’t paying attention to such details?
A tough thug getting interrogated at the police station isn’t gonna crack. That is, until he gets an eyeful of some “crack” when the nice policemen do a Good Cop Naked Cop on him. Funny stuff from soft drink maker Cheerwine. [Ethansays]
Here’s another invention like the Snuggie that everyone has thought of but nobody’s bothered to make until now: The Drop-Stop.

P.U.M.A. Two-Person Segway Doom Buggy
Written by NetBear on April 7, 2009 – 11:45 am -A new experimental vehicle, produced by an unlikely cross of Segway and General Motors, seems to have drawn its design queues from the Doom Buggy at Disney’s Haunted Mansion.

The uber geeky Segway appeals to some. But to many, we just want some place to plant our behinds while we drive. The P.U.M.A. to the rescue! It’s like a giant, two-person Segway, designed for commuters, with a 35-mile range from its lithium-ion batteries. With a top speed of 35 MPH, it’s plenty fast enough for city cruising.

Written by NetBear on March 11, 2009 – 4:10 pm -The new iPod Shuffle is jaw-droppingly small. It’s half the size of the previous generation. But it’s got a hidden surprise inside that you’ll hear browsing your tracks.
Inside this music player the size of a piece of Trident chewing gum is a voice. Since it doesn’t have window to display track information it instead reads information to you. That’s quite a slick trick given diminutive the size of the smallest iPod yet.
The 4GB iPod Shuffle is available at Apple retail stores and online for $79.
