Opus Alive And Well And In Bed
Written by NetBear on November 5, 2008 – 12:40 pm -When cartoonist Berkeley Breathed announced the end of his popular Opus comic strip fans became horrified. They got worried that their favorite flightless character had been deep-sixed. Not to worry.
“Jumpin’ Jehosphat,” Breathed told The LA Times via e-mail, “Tony Soprano sleeps with the fishes, which is to say, dead. Opus sleeps with a bunny in a feather bed, dreaming of a more hopeful tomorrow morning.” Opus is just dozing, not dead.
Most fans saw the above image when they viewed the final “Opus” online at the Humane Society. But others were worried when the story took place in an animal shelter setting and that Opus was being put to sleep (so to speak) in the pages of “Goodnight Moon,” the gentle nursery classic.
We can all rest easy now that Breathed has clarified that Opus is just resting easy.

This year the event features a major art retrospective dedicated to the erotic artist Tom of Finland.
Homotopia is a bold and ambitious festival featuring a variety of events including theatre, film, art, performance, photography, heritage and storytelling. So the legendary works of Tom of Finland fit into that motif like one of Tom’s men fits into his leather chaps.

Paul has left Andy, having been convinced by Andy’s mother that the relationship was doomed due to their disparate backgrounds. (That nasty old bag!) Paul relocated in Pennsylvania and has been living with his nasty father and redneck brother. It has not been at all pleasant.
Now Paul has just come out to his father while packing to leave for his own apartment in town. As you can imagine, this announcement has not gone over well, and the father got on the phone to Paul’s brother to get a group together at the house that evening.

HBO has finally released the Little Britain USA section of their web site. There’s lots of fun things to see, download and do at this new mini-site including ecards, desktop wallpapers, buddy icons, meet the characters and more! A must see for all Little Britain fans!! Dance music duo Pet Shop Boys have been busy getting together some symphonic tracks for their new album. According to their web site, “There are only two tracks on the album featuring an orchestra. Generally it’s more electronic-sounding than the last album.” While visiting their site you can also get a one minute taste of a forthcoming track, “I’m in love with a German film star” produced by Pet Shop Boys.
Cub alert! Some fans contacted us extolling the cubbish charms of actor Kyle Bornheimer. E-Online says he’s one of the stars you’ll love from the new fall lineup. Could it be because Kyle is so often shirtless, showing-off his furry chest? Check him out in Worst Week on the CBS Monday night comedy lineup.
Rosie O’Donnell is returning to television as host of a variety show revival. NBC will air Rosie’s Variety Show as an hour long live special the night before Thanksgiving. If things go well NBC plans to expand the show into a full series.

New York artist Angeltatts combined classic 70’s television with retro gay culture by replacing the Brady family with some of his favorite classic adult movie stars. Of course Alice fits in no matter what the situation is.
