Where’s George W. Bush and Dick Chaney?

Try it out yourself

Written by NetBear on January 22, 2009 – 10:15 am -

See?? I wasn’t kidding. Arethra Franklin’s inauguration hat with the big sequined bow is bigger than Obama now!

Arethra Franklin Hat

Well, technically speaking the bow alone is probably as big as Obama. :D

UPDATE: Even Ellen DeGeneres is getting into the act!

Aretha Franklin’s Hat The Talk Of Inauguration

Written by NetBear on January 20, 2009 – 5:40 pm -

With all the pomp and circumstance of the Obama Inauguration, what do you think would turn out to be the talk of the blogosphere and Facebook?

Aretha Franklin Hat At Obama Inauguration

That’s right. Aretha Franklin’s hat took best of show at the Obama Inauguration. With a huge sequined bow across the top, to some it was a fashion trend-setter, to others a fashion faux pas.

We think that Aretha has earned the right to wear whatever the heck she wants. :)

Robinson Invocation Cut From Obama’s We Are One

Written by NetBear on January 19, 2009 – 12:48 pm -

You can visit HBO.com to watch yesterday’s We Are One concert. But something is missing from the program. Apparently Obama’s Presidential Inaugural Committee made the decision to to exclude the invocation by openly gay bishop Gene Robinson from being televised.

Then, in an updated statement, HBO said it was their fault, saying “It was not an HBO omission. We merely televised the show beginning at 2:30pm. Had the PIC told us upfront that this was to be part of the telecast, it would have been.”

HBO has also given PIC permission to post Rev. Robinson’s prayer on their website, but that has yet to surface. Regardless, we’ve got it here for you.

Many thanks to Sarah Pulliam for Christianity Today magazine for making this moment available to everyone via YouTube.
