International Bear Competition 2009 Winners
Written by NetBear on February 17, 2009 – 5:31 pm -The 2009 International Bear Competition was held on Sunday, February 15th in San Francisco as part of this weekend’s IBR activities. Sixteen contestants strutted their stuff in front of a panel of judges. Here are the winners:

From top-left going clockwise that’s Mr. International Bear 2009, John David Elam from Lexington, Kentucky; Mr. International Grizzly Bear 2009, Barry Welch from Madera, California; Mr. International Cub 2009, Jose Ignacio Zurbano from Sevilla, Spain; and Mr. International Daddy Bear 2009 Joe Mannetti from Toluca Lake, California.

IBR 2009 — Bears Under The Hood — Wants You!
Written by NetBear on December 11, 2008 – 1:29 pm -Do you like to show off? Be honest now! Do you like to be the center of attention? You know who you are! If so, have you ever thought about running for a title? During International Bear Rendezvous (IBR) there will be four new titles named.
The International Bear Competition will be held on Sunday, February 15th, 2009. Titles will be awarded for International Bear Cub, International Daddy Bear, International Grizzly Bear, and the overall title of International Mr. Bear. There are no separate competitions for Cub, Daddy, and Grizzly. The judges will choose the winners of these titles from the total pool of contestants.
If you have ever just thought about running for a title, now is the time to do it. IBR is known as the granddaddy of the bear runs. It has been featured in several documentaries, made it to the D-list and is know worldwide.
