FeedLazy Bear Weekend Takes A Break For 2010
Written by NetBear on October 14, 2009 – 12:24 pm -Today it was announced by their board of directors that the popular summertime event Lazy Bear Weekend at the Russian River will be taking a break in 2010.
Citing their wanting to respect the 2010 Gay Games in Cologne, the Lazy Bear Board dismissed all the crazy rumors circulating on the net. Taking a break also gives them a much needed year off to redesign, restructure and re-assess the processes of producing a huge fund raising event like this.

Lazy Bear Live Gets A Killer Bob Design
Written by NetBear on July 17, 2009 – 1:31 pm -Lazy Bear Weekend, the biggest bear bash on the west coast, has a new party this year called Lazy Bear Live. It’s going to be a rock n’ roll party with some of Northern California’s best bear/queer bands including Pinky Swear, The Bobbleheads and the Fat Bottom Girls.
To commemorate the event, Killer Bob Designs was asked to create the official limited t-shirt and accompanying poster. You’re getting a first look at it right here.

Source Of Belly Button Lint Discovered
Written by NetBear on March 9, 2009 – 6:51 pm -Georg Steinhauser, a Vienna chemist, has discovered what most bears already know. There is a certain type of body hair responsible for directing lint into the navel.
Steinhauser spent three years studying over 500 pieces of fluff from his own navel. He found that hairs around the belly button have a scaly structure that pulls fibers from clothing and then directs those fibers into the belly button.
Well, now we know! What better way to celebrate this gigantic discovery than to feature some photos of hot bear bellies! And what better place to find them than at a hot event like Lazy Bear.

SWEAT At IBR In 10th Anniversary Year

Saturday night Castrobear and XDelmar present SWEAT featuring DJ Blaine Soileau (Lazy Bear, Sanctuary). The party is from 9:30PM - 3:30AM at Fat City, conveniently located just around the corner from the Lone Star, at 314 11th Street @ Folsom. $20 advance, $10 with IBR Pass.
On Sunday Castrobear teams with Gus Presents for SWEAT at Sanctuary with DJs John LePage and the legendary Tracy Young. Dance all night long from 10PM until 8AM the next day at 1015 Folsom @ 6th. Advance tickets are $20 or $30 at the door.

Sisters Bingo Is A Hard Time For Bears Who Break The Rules

But after a few days of lying in the sun guys got restless for something new and different. The Russian River Sisters know this. So when they put on their Sisters Bingo nights you’d better believe it’s gonna be a lot of fun… Unless of course, you break the rules.
Like the Catholic school environment that the bingo games emulate, you’d better not get caught playing with your cell phones, chewing gum or talking while the sisters try to do their thing. If you do, the consequences usually end in your fuzzy behind getting paddled… for a price.

Sisters Make A Hot Furry Mess At Lazy Bear 2008
Written by NetBear on August 5, 2008 – 5:16 am -On the first day of Lazy Bear 2008 the setting at the Russian River Resort was calm, serene and relaxed. Guys were sunning leisurely by the pool, unaware that the fur was about to fly.
When the Russian River Sisters showed-up on the scene, the mood changed pretty quickly into a fur-charged, creamy afternoon treat. The Sisters were putting on one of their Pie Throwing Contest fund raisers using volunteers pulled from the crowd.
And as you might imagine, the Sisters do things a little differently. In this kind of Pie Throwing Contest people bid for the chance to throw a pie tin of whipped cream somewhere on the volunteer’s body.
