Seasons of Love LA brings special events to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families – events which inspire, empower, and motivate them through social connection and through life affirming experiences. Over the past 5 years, Seasons of Love LA has provided a hot meal, entertainment, and gift bags consisting of basic necessities and goodies to over 900 people with this event. For its 6th annual community event on December13th, Seasons of Love LA will be bringing a special holiday event to over 250 people (100 men, 100 women and 75 children) who are impacted by HIV/AIDS and homelessness.

Bob Mould Band On Tour In October
Written by NetBear on September 17, 2009 – 12:07 pm -If you’ve been to Starbears in the Castro recently there’s a good chance you’ll see rocker Bob Mould in between rehearsals and the gym. He’s been busy getting ready to take The Bob Mould Band on tour next month. The band kicks off the tour in Toronto at The Mod Club on October 5th and wrap up in San Diego at Belly Up.
In between, they make stops at Irving Plaza in New York City, the 9:30 Club in DC, Troubadour in Los Angeles, and more.

Michael Jackson — RIP

At 3:15PM today Michael Jackson was pronounced dead at a Los Angeles hospital after an apparent heart attack. He was 50.

Saddle Up For A Los Angeles Fundraiser
Written by NetBear on April 22, 2009 – 5:20 pm -Mr. International Daddy Bear 2009, Joe Mannetti, and Mr. Long Beach Leather 2008 Matthew McLean are back in the saddle again with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at a Los Angeles fundraiser for The Life Group.
The event will be on Friday, May 8th, at The Bullet Bar, 10522 Burbank Blvd., in North Hollywood. Doors open at 8:30PM. $5.00 donation requested.
The Life Group LA is a coalition of people dedicated to the education, empowerment and emotional support of persons both infected and affected by HIV/AIDS so that they may make informed choices and decisions regarding their healthcare and personal well being. Founded in 2005 The Life Group LA provides free of charge, much needed information and emotional support through medical forums, emotional support groups and the POZ Life Weekend Seminar. All services are offered in a non-judgmental and safe environment with compassion and understanding.

Mr. S Leather Closing Los Angeles Store

Until the LA store closes on April 26, 2009, the entire inventory will be on sale at 25% OFF. This is a great time for all you LA bears to stop by and pick out the piece of gear you have been thinking about getting.
The Mr. S store in LA is located next to the FaultLine bar at 4232 Melrose Avenue. Their hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday, 2PM to 10PM, and Sunday 2PM to 8PM.
The flagship Mr. S store in San Francisco will remain open and continue to carry on the 30 year tradition of Mr. S Leather.
