Bear Tube: Village People Leather, LEGO Cube Solver, LOST’s Oceanic 815, Gaga Vampires

Written by NetBear on February 7, 2010 – 8:36 am -

At first glance you’re gonna swear that this guy smoking a pipe is the leather guy from The Village People. But it’s actually Dozerbear. Woof!

Got a cube that needs solving? This ARM powered LEGO/Nokia Rubik’s Cube Solver will do the trick.

This is something that only a LOST fan could enjoy. Watch the flight of Oceanic flight 815 from both left and right perspectives in this side-by-side video.

Here’s a video that’s ripe for a bear make-over. A Lady Gaga fan did this homo-bondage-dentist-vampire version of Teeth.

LOST Final Season Starts Tonight

Written by NetBear on February 2, 2010 – 9:34 am -

I was hooked on LOST the moment I saw Jack, the scruffy-cute doctor guy, helping people on the beach after their plane had crashed on a strange island. People were getting sucked into jet engines and strange noises were coming from the jungle. This was a science-fiction mystery I could really get into.

LOST Final Season Premiere

Over the past five seasons I’ve been a devoted fan. But there are SO MANY loose ends at this point. One wonders how the writers will draw them all together. Will we get the answers we seek?

  • What is the island?
  • What do those numbers (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42) mean?
  • Who and what is Jacob?
  • Did Juliet rewrite history setting off the hydrogen bomb?
  • What did Jacob mean by, ”They’re coming”?

As I have said in many other sci-fi series, it had better not just turn out to be an elaborate dream sequence. The final season LOST premieres tonight at 9PM, with a special recap airing at 8:00. Refesh your memory by watching the last episode from last season at the LOST site.

LOST In Its Final Season

Written by NetBear on January 7, 2010 – 5:14 am -

ABC’s LOST is in it’s final season this year. How will they tie up all those loose ends? Let’s just agree that it had better not just be an elaborate dream sequence! In a recently released LOST Supper photo, everyone still seems to be there from last year. Of course, this was probably taken last year.

LOST executive producers, Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof, gave The Hollywood Reporter a little Q&A session that seems to underscore it will be a bumpy ride.

Bearotic Favorites From 2009, Part 1

Written by NetBear on January 1, 2010 – 4:09 pm -

Zombies Ahead It was an early sign in 2009. These Zombies Ahead hackcidents seemed to set the tone for the year. There would be some winners and some losers. But there would also be some snoozers.

Coraline showed us a 3D world of wonder made with old school charm. Little did we know that Avatar would soon introduce us to the uber high-tech version.

Colton Ford Colton Ford let us look under his covers. There’s always some eye candy to be had when Colton is involved. But the critics weren’t as enamored with his album of cover songs.

Film star turned grizzly bearded musician Joaquin Phoenix hit new highs and new lows. But we’re not entirely sure which incidents were which. An Absolutely Fabulous remake turns out to be absolutely horrible.

Obamicon Obama-mania officially took over the nation. Everyone got their Obamicon done while one little HUGE gray hat caused a fashion storm. At Obama’s inauguration the new commander-in-chief broadcast the unifying message that We Are One. But the bad economy became a major challenge for the new world leader, though it turned out to be good for beards.

The popular Bearracuda events took off and brought the party to wild life in other cities across the United States. Bear Party took the big and furry guys from world-distributed magazine to live events and contests. Blowoff went from east coast phenomenon to west coast favorite, inspiring half of the group to move to foggy San Francisco.

Burly Jack from Lost The ABBA chicks denied the cat fights. But there was no denying that the Grizzly Jack from Lost set some bear hearts aflutter. We want to see Jack meet himself, like Jonathan Frakes in the Riker’s Beard video.

The Beard Song showed us that eating soup can be fun. But just don’t have as much fun as Sordid Lives or you’ll invoke the wrath of the religious right.

See what else made 2009 a Bearotic year to remember…

Am I Who I Am performed by the cast of Bear Beach, an original musical set in the bear subculture of the gay subculture; it’s subculture squared.

The Real Lost Mystery: Where Did Jack’s Fur Go?

Written by NetBear on May 7, 2008 – 5:42 am -

Many a bear fell for the scruffy good looks of Matthew Fox on ABC’s Lost series. But as of a recent episode a new mystery befalls Lost fans. What happened to Jack’s fur?

LOST’s Jack Lost His Fur

Earlier in the series Jack was tan, scruffy and hirsute. But in a recent flash forward scene he comes out positively pink, as if a phalanx of hair haters forced him shave his chest baby smooth.
