Michael Jackson — RIP
Written by NetBear on June 25, 2009 – 5:16 pm -As one of the last of the baby boomers who grew up listening to Michael Jackson, I have to say that I’m going to miss him. Thanks for all the music and the memories MJ.
At 3:15PM today Michael Jackson was pronounced dead at a Los Angeles hospital after an apparent heart attack. He was 50.

Daft Punk Will Score Tron Sequel For Disney
Written by NetBear on March 6, 2009 – 5:45 am -It has been confirmed that French electronica duo Daft Punk has been signed to write the original music score for Tron Legacy (also known as TRON 2.0), Walt Disney’s upcoming sequel to the groundbreaking 1982 animation cult hit which was scored by electronic music icon Wendy Carlos.
Daft Punk’s members Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter have been involved in various films before, but Tron 2.0 will be their first complete feature film score.

Elijah Black — Beautiful — Behind The Scenes
Written by NetBear on March 4, 2009 – 10:01 am -After Smile For Me became a huge success on MTV/LOGO’s The Click List, due in part to Bearotic readers, Elijah Black knew that he needed to follow-up that success with another strong music video. His song Beautiful was the perfect choice. Here’s a behind the scenes look at putting together that production.
Elijah really pulled out all the stops getting people together for this. He recruited family, friends, fans and even a neighbor. As you’ll see, it is very special treat to look behind the curtain like this.
Careful though… Once you hear the “Oooooh-oh” chant in Beautiful you’re going to be humming it all day. And once you hear Elijah’s deep, warm voice you’ll just melt.

Here he is on a recent visit to David Letterman talking (well sorta) about his new movie with Gwyneth Paltrow. Is this an act? Or has Joaquin gone so laid-back that we’re starting to feel sorry for him?
This appearance spawned a parody video showing Joaquin Phoenix on a job hunt.
