Urge NZ Gets “A Bear’s Life” For 10th Anniversary

Urge, the daddy of Auckland’s gay bar scene, is celebrating its 10th birthday at the end of November. To honor the occasion renowned French artist Christophe Jannin is bringing his “A Bear’s Life” drawings to this masculine gay space.

This exhibition at Urge is a first chance to look at Jannin’s drawings, most of them realized in New Zealand and never shown in public in the country before. His work is heavily influenced by the world of literature and also the Maori culture. Yep, the rugby player is definitely an All Black.
