Paul Parker Aged To Perfection
Written by NetBear on February 2, 2010 – 10:30 am -I remember hearing Paul Parker’s Right On Target track at a Castro bar during the 80’s. At a time of so many girlie voices in dance music, I loved the sound of his manly voice. The next day I hit my favorite record store, Butch Wax Records, and got my first look at him. This handsome mustachioed singer was my new favorite.

Over the years Paul Parker has consistently maintained a masculine look, featuring some kind of of facial hair. Today he’s sporting a goatee and showing a little snow on the roof for his new album. Paul has turned into the salt and pepper daddy that we all knew he would be.

Paul Parker Releases New Album
Written by NetBear on January 25, 2010 – 3:20 pm -Tomorrow disco legend Paul Parker releases his first new album in over a decade. Take It From Me is a collection of brand new music on the Utmosis label.

I’m in search of a new sensation, on the verge of a revelation.
The cover track, Take It From Me, starts the album off with a new style for the singer. You immediately realize that this ain’t your daddy’s disco music. It’s fresh and modern. When the second track, Chargin’ Me Up, kicks-in, you’ll know it’s time to dance — this track has a catchy and driving electronic beat.
Though the album releases tomorrow you can preview the whole thing right here!

Out And About: Comic Book Bear, Awkward Wood, Jersey Swap, Mantracker, Beard Gents, Hannibal, Paul Parker
Written by NetBear on May 10, 2009 – 3:46 pm -
What do you do when you have a passion for two different things? Daniel at Ultimate Dam (Spanish) obviously loves comics and bears. Like those old Reeses commercials, he’s got bears in his comic book drawings. Get the translated to English version here.
As every guy knows, sometimes we get things “popping up” at the most embarrassing of times. Awkward Boners memorializes the woody caught on camera.
Bearotic reader Jack says that he doesn’t follow sports. But he’ll make an exception and follow these guys. Who wouldn’t want to watch two studly jocks swapping jerseys!?
Bearotic reader Tim told us about Mantracker, a Canadian TV show that has some good looking cowbears. Boy, howdy… Was he ever right! It is currently showing in the US on the Science Channel. Yee haw!
You aught to show off that beard! Bearded blokes from all walks of life stroke their beards in cyberspace at Ning network The Society of Bearded Gentleman. It’s for men with facial hair and those who admire it.

It’s 218 B.C., and the armies of Carthage and Rome fight for control of the Mediterranean region. Hannibal the Annihilator is kicking ass. And from the looks of him, we can see why!
Do you remember a disco era track called Right On Target? It had a driving synth track with a sexy mustached singer doing the vocals. That was none other than Megatone Records recording artist Paul Parker. He’s back in the studio and cranking out some new material. Could there be a new album in the works?
