New Clash Of The Titans Has Worthington
Written by NetBear on December 18, 2009 – 2:06 pm -I’ve always been a big fan of the old Ray Harryhausen sci-fi classics like Clash of the Titans from 1981. With this new remake starring Sam Worthington we get to experience a new Jason with modern special effects.

It will be a tough sell for hardcore sci-fi bears like me to forget the old classic. But with fur bait like Worthington in the mix, I’m willing to give it a go.
And we’ve got a trailer for you featuring Mr. Worthington. Grrr…

Prince Of Persia Poster With Scruffy Jake
Written by NetBear on November 23, 2009 – 4:21 pm -Looking decidedly less boyish than in previous photos, this new poster for the upcoming Prince of Persia epic casts Jake Gyllenhaal in a much woofier light than before. The Bearotic eye is pleased.

The chin stubble really makes it, right? The long hair is… meh. But that’s the genre. Still, this photo makes you wanna go, “Grrr…”
Have you seen the new trailer for the movie? You’re gonna like these effects.

New Trailer For The Wolfman Movie
Written by NetBear on October 23, 2009 – 10:59 am -There’s nothing quite like an Victorian-era furfest to catch the Bearotic eye. Sexy guys with loads of facial hair all over the place! Grrr… Combine that with my love for good sci-fi and I’m a happy bear. For example, The Wolfman looks like a hot ticket.

Recognize this jaunty gentleman? It’s Hugo Weaving who you’ve undoubtedly seen in The Matrix and Lord of the Rings movies.
We’ve got a new trailer from the film that shows off some more beardy gentlemen, including Anthony Hopkins, as well as more of the beastly special effects that will keep us on the edge of our chairs.

Avatar First Image Of Sam Worthington
Written by NetBear on August 25, 2009 – 11:25 am -Finally, Twentieth Century Fox has released the first official movie photo from James Cameron’s highly anticipated sci-fi epic Avatar. Recognize that hottie? It’s the scruffy cyborg that stole the show in Terminator Salvation, Sam Worthington.
![]()
A wounded ex-marine (Sam Worthington) is sent to settle the planet Pandora against his will. He gets caught by the planet’s natives, called Na’vis, and falls in love with one of them (Zoe Saldana). On their planet, he undergoes an experiment to transform into an avatar, another physical version of himself, which is a giant otherworldly creature who he can control through his mind.
Avatar takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination. The film was first conceived by Cameron 14 years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not yet exist. Now, after four years of actual production work, Avatar delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film, disappears into the emotion of the characters and the cinematic sweep of the story.

The Wolfman Goes Back To Its Furry Roots
Written by NetBear on August 25, 2009 – 6:08 am -There’s a new furry guy with fangs coming to the big screen February 12th. And this guy isn’t moonwalking or waiting around listening to classic rock.

Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro stars as Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father (Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins), Talbot sets out to find his brother and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself.
Joe Johnston (Jurassic Park III) directs The Wolfman, and six-time Oscar-winning special effects artist Rick Baker brings his design and makeup talents to transform Del Toro into the fearsome title character.

Get Inside Gerard Butler In Gamer
Written by NetBear on June 9, 2009 – 5:07 pm -Scruffy bad boy Gerard Butler is starring in a new sci-fi action film that seems to be a loosely fit remake of The Running Man.

In Gamer, convicts put themselves into a live-action video game where they can win their freedom. (Sound familiar?) But here’s the twist: in this game the convicts are controlled, head to toe, by another person who’s playing the game. Gerard Butler is a convict about to get out of jail who gets put into the game.
Hmmm… Controlling Gerard Butler. (evil grin) I got a giddy, warm and fuzzy feeling watching the trailer. This could get interesting in so many ways.
Play with Gerard Butler to see who’s inside him…

Written by NetBear on June 5, 2009 – 4:43 pm -Will Ferrell’s update of the sci-fi kids show Land of the Lost releases today. But we just thought we’d let you know that Ferrel has got crabs.

Don’t believe us? You’ll see… In this new trailer you will watch big Will lounging around in his skivvies. And he gets big, scary crabs. No foolin’! If it wasn’t for Chaka knowing what to do in such situations, it’d surely be the end of the film.

Toy Story 3 Teaser Trailer Releases
Written by NetBear on May 31, 2009 – 3:45 pm -If there was a film that helped define the success of the Pixar Animation Studio, it would have to be Toy Story. But since 1999’s Toy Story 2, the franchise hasn’t seen much box office action. But in 2010 the new Toy Story 3 movie is scheduled to debut.

The premise for the film is that their owner, Andy, has gone off to college. So Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends are dropped off at a day-care center. But none of this surfaces in the teaser. It’s way too early for that. But the teaser is a cute way to reintroduce the characters.
