Facebook iPhone App To Get A Major Update

Updated Facebook iPhone AppToday developer Joe Hewitt, who’s responsible for Facebook on the iPhone, posted a note describing some of the new features that will soon appear in an update to the app.

New features include:

  1. The “new” News Feed
  2. Like
  3. Events (including the ability to RSVP)
  4. Notes
  5. Pages
  6. Create new photo albums
  7. Upload photos to any album
  8. Zoom into photos
  9. Easier photo tagging
  10. Profile Pictures albums
  11. A new home screen for easy access to all your stuff, search, and notifications
  12. Add your favorite profiles and pages to the home screen
  13. Better Notifications (they link to the comments so you can reply)
  14. Quickly call or text people right from the Friends page
  15. Messages you are typing will be restored if you quit or are interrupted by a phone call

Apple Updates Mini And Almost Everything Else

Did we just hear a collective yummy sound from geeks everywhere? The rumors were true. Today Apple Computer updated their Mac Mini computer and just about everything else in their line.

The new Mini has an Intel Core 2 Duo, up to a 320 GB HDD, and an NVIDIA GeForce 9400m. For connectors it has Firewire 800, Mini DVI, Mini DisplayPort, and five, yes five, USB 2.0 ports.

The entry level unit costs $599 and comes equipped with 1GB of memory. The higher end model features the same 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU but also comes with 2GB of memory and a larger 320GB HDD.
