That dazzling diva Varla Jean Merman relaunched her blog today, inviting all her fans to come drink up her wit and glamor.
At a benefit in New Orleans Bryan Batt (above), a New Orleans native and star of the hit TV show Mad Men, immediately recognized Varla was wearing a “not so subtle” copy of Rosalind Russell’s gown from the 1939 cult classic The Women. It’s from the scene where Russell snoops in Joan Crawford’s bathroom.

Project Runway Drag Queen Challenge Wednesday

In last week’s preview designer Chris March from last season reappeared in one of his outrageous costumes. What could this mean? It all made sense when he announced the Drag Queen Challenge.
In the episode entitled, “Good Queen Fun” contestants will have to do outfits for some drag queen royalty. There are bound to be some tempers flaring on both the demanding divas and the flustered designers. What could possibly make this episode evn better? How about having Miss Starbooty herself, Rupaul, guest judging.
