Written by NetBear on November 2, 2008 – 11:51 am -In honor of November being National Beard Growing Month we’ve found a guy who will inspire you to abandon your razor. 35-year-old Jon Dyer is on a quest — a mission, if you will. He wants to grow every style of beard imaginable.
He’s spent the last ten years grooming his facial hair as a hobby and has managed to achieve 25 of the 34 styles “unofficially recognized” by the beard community. That’d be us bears, right? We decided we’d (eh hem) pick-apart some of Jon’s beards.

Bulgaria’s DJ Balthazar Brings Scruffy Magic To Eurovision 2008

Since 1956 the show has allowed contestants from all over Europe to show-off their musical mastery. This year’s contestant from Bulgaria, DJ Balthazar, caught our eye. He’s one cute, cute bear!
As a DJ, Balthazar’s style varies between groovy/minimal techno and electro / tribal / progressive house while always corresponding with the newest records on the scene. Usually his sets are quite energetic and technically perfect.

Little Mosque On The Prairie Has Bears To Spare

It’s a comedy about the lives of a Muslim community in the prairie town of Mercy. It is perhaps a little too “edgy” for some. But hey, there’s some nice bear eye candy to look at and we’re always up for some of that!
You’ve got L to R, Neil Crone, Carlo Rota and Manoj Sood, all playing totally different types of characters but with one thing in common: Fuzzy chops and a high cuteness quota. Oh yeah, that’s two things.

Desperate Dan Made Me Like Bears

Dan is a big barrel chested cowboy who wears tight jeans and heavy duty knee length leather boots with spurs! His beard is so tough he shaves with a blowtorch.
As a kid I would flip through the pages eagerly looking to see what Dan was up to that week. His bearish big lug ways created an admiration for rugged men that set my course for an adult life of enjoying the real thing.

March 27th through 30th Montreal is going to heat-up for their annual Sugarbear Weekend. One of the big attractions is Sugar Shack which is a huge social ritual in Quebec. It’s all about greeting & smiling & talking & listening & eating & drinking & meeting in a manly and friendly atmosphere and then doing all that some more.
